The SI is committed to creating favorable academic atmosphere by disciplines integration and innovation, improving the academic level of faculty by holding the “Insurance Academic Forum” and “Insurance Elite Forum”. The school teams have achieved excellent research results in many areas, like pension and social security, life contingencies and insurance theory, including 1 major and 3 general programs sponsored by National Social Science Foundation, 1 youth program sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation and 16 provincial programs. Over 30 high-leveled research papers, such as Economic Research Journal, Journal of Financial Research, China soft science, Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, and China Industrial Economics, Economic Modelling and 4 academic monographs were published.
